Other Journals:The Centre Western Australian History was established in 1985 by The University of Western Australia to encourage the research and writing of Western Australian history at the highest professional standard. A number of publications have resulted from research managed by the Centre including; In Braille Light: A History of the Association for the Blind; Building a Tradition: A History of Scotch College, Perth; A Rich Endowment: Government and Mining in Western Australia 1829-1994; and On The Homefront: Western Australia and World War Two. The Centre also manages heritage projects and the compilation of Oral History Archives. Another important contribution to Western Australian history is the organisation and production of the refereed journal series Studies in Western Australian History which has been published by the Centre since 1990.
