Sarah Brown is the Battye Historian at the State Library of Western Australia. Prior to taking up this position Sarah undertook a PhD in the area of urban-environmental history at the University of Western Australia. Her thesis focused on the environmental imaginaries of those responsible for the planning and development of Perth’s and Canberra’s post-war suburban landscapes and of those residing in these landscapes.
